ASG virtual production control room partners with Harrison consoles
Advanced Systems Group (ASG), a solutions provider for media creators and content owners, today announced its partnership with Harrison consoles, one of the leading audio mixing solutions companies, to deliver cloud-based audio mixing capabilities to ASG’s new virtual production control room. Harrison developed Mixbus VBM, an audio mixing platform that provides a seamless audio interface within the VPCR.
Suitable for broadcast mixing applications, Mixbus VBM includes a scalable architecture with many mix less streams, multiple program output streams, sophisticated communication functions and specialized audio processing tools. Controlled via a single or dual screen graphical interface, Mixbus VBM can also be configured with a scalable hardware controller solution.
Powered by Google cloud, the VPCR remote production service provides real-time, broadcast-quality coverage of live events and other programming. It does not require any on-site service to deliver secure and cost-effective content with video switching effects, multi-channel audio, graphics, subtitles, etc. The system also supports major video conferencing applications with multiple live participants.
“We have been very happy to be a key partner with ASG on the VPCR project over the past year”, mentionned Gary Thielman, president of Harrison Consoles. “The need for remote production solutions during the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly accelerated our development timeline in this rapidly changing market segment, and ASG’s advice has been invaluable. “
“With Mixbus VBM, Harrison has provided a familiar and powerful audio mixer that is ideal for almost any live production. “ added Dave van hoy, president of ASG. “Good sound is an essential part of any cloud-based workflow, and we know our customers appreciate the ability to use a Harrison console. We appreciate Harrison’s support and his significant contribution to our remote production solution.
Unlike all-in-one solutions, the VPCR has been developed around an advanced multi-vendor solution to provide a powerful and versatile virtual control room. The VPCR ecosystem includes more than two dozen companies, with multiple vendor options in virtually every signal position in the control room.
VPCR is available in three different subscription models, with optional engineering services or fully managed production services.
