Closing match for women’s tennis at the ITA Central Regional Championships

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Arkansas women’s tennis team wrapped up the game at the ITA Central Regional Championships, ending their four-day run with sixteen wins in total.

Arkansas doubles duo Morgan Cross and Tatum Rice started their day with an 8-4 quarterfinal performance against Iowa host Gillas / Mannix to advance to the semifinals. The duo then faced Kadeleckova / Cabexas of Iowa State, losing 6-3, 6-2.

In singles, the 26th Indianna Spink faced the 116th Karine-Marion Job of Kansas State in the quarterfinals. Spink dominated in the first set, winning 6-2. The second set was won by Job (6-3) with a semi-final berth on the line before the third set. Spink fell in battle, 6-4, ending his run in the tournament.

The Razorbacks continue the fall competition at the Texas A&M Fall Invitational November 12-14 in College Station, TX.
