CoD: Vanguard devs reveal changes for launch: Sun Glare nerf, Spawn tuning and more
Following the end of the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta, Sledgehammer Games gave the community an overview of various issues that they have already fixed or will be ready when it launches on November 5, 2021.
The CoD: Vanguard beta is now officially over after players have had a few days to experience the current form of the latest fan-favorite franchise entry and provide feedback to the developers on things they would like to change or improve.
While there were a lot of positives to be learned from Vanguard’s beta, there were some significant issues that many gamers shined the spotlight on and asked the developers to fix.
These included the intense glare from the Vanguard sun that had caused players to look for a way to turn it off or the appearances that had frustrated many players.
While these issues were present in the CoD: Vanguard Beta, Sledgehammer Games has already provided an update to the community indicating a variety of topics that they have already fixed or will be fixed at launch.
You can find Sledgehammer’s full announcement below:
âWe hope you’ve enjoyed your time in Vanguard and the innovations we’ve made to multiplayer. Throughout the beta, we have been able to collect a lot of community feedback. All official reports, gameplay clips, and posts have helped our developers fix bugs, improve functionality, and fine-tune maps and launch modes.
Here is a short list of issues that have already been fixed for launch or issues that we are currently working on, thanks to your feedback:
- Nerfing the sun
- Suppressing Red Star Raves
- Remove the dognados
- The setting appears to avoid the Royal Hotel Murder Kitchen
- Close open mic lobbies in Search & Destroy
Seriously, we are fixing these things. We also review weapon balancing, audio mixing, and visibility. But we’ll share more about this later.
As a reminder, the beta was only a sample of the overall Call of Duty: Vanguard experience. You can expect more maps, modes, and weapons in Vanguard on November 5th. Vanguard will also include an exciting campaign set against four major theaters of war and a franchise-first and expanding Zombies crossover – designed by our wonderful friends at Treyarch.
With that, we want to say a final thank you to all of our players! We can’t wait to share more of Vanguard with you all. More soon!”
There is no doubt that many players will be happy to see that Sledgehammer Games has listened to their comments and will implement them in the changes or have already implemented the comments in the version of the game which launches on November 5th.
