ES Broadcast Hires AWS Elemental Veteran Roger Bowley as Senior Account Manager


The specialist in broadcast solutions ES Broadcast has appointed Roger bowley as a senior account manager to support key clients in the group’s equipment supply, systems integration, archiving and content services divisions. He joins the company from cloud service provider AWS, where he was Elemental’s lead sales specialist for nearly five years.

The focus of Bowley’s role as Senior Account Manager will be to work with key customers in ES Broadcast’s divisions to capture their specific needs and develop end-to-end solutions from the company’s broad portfolio of services. business. This appointment follows the recent acquisition by ES Broadcast of archiving specialist Memnon from Sony, as part of its vision to deliver a complete suite of solutions in a complex and rapidly evolving content market.

Bowley’s more than three decades of broadcast experience spans from content acquisition to delivery, and has seen him gain expertise in video production, publishing and publishing workflow solutions, including including live production, editing, MAM, TX and OTT broadcast, VOD and live broadcast technologies. Her CV claims roles with some of the industry’s leading manufacturers and service providers.

Bowley began his career in telecommunications and audio, before spending more than a decade in sales positions in Europe with broadcast manufacturers Quantel and Snell & Wilcox. He worked with workflow automation specialists Marquis Broadcast and Omnibus, before leading UK sales teams at manufacturers Miranda and Grass Valley.

Most recently, he spent more than four years at AWS, placing it at the heart of innovative cloud-based content solutions, including cloud content distribution, OTT, live streaming and VOD streaming, aligned with Wider AWS services such as storage, AI, and ML, and Data Analytics.
